GATES NANCY (WAGNER) Peacefully on September 15, 2016, age 80, of North Versailles. Mrs. Gates was proud to be born on July Fourth. She loved being a mom more than anything. She was very proud of being a dispatcher for the North Versailles Twp. She adopted all the police as her own sons. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, enjoyed her pool and loved her family. Surviving are her children, Timothy (Mary Beth) Gates, Tammy (Ed) Kraus, Pam (Doug) Edwards, Sam (Suzanne) Gates; sister of Sonja Balkovic. Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert J. Gates; daughter, Kim Gates; parents, Harvey and Mary Wagner; and brothers and sisters. Friends are welcome in the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME, INC., 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, 412-824-4332 on Saturday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Parting Prayers in the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 a.m. followed by services in McMasters United Methodist Church, Turtle Creek at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, North Versailles.
