Milos "Mish" Jankovich

Milos "Mish" Jankovich, 90, of Monroeville, died Friday, April 24, 2015. A member of St. Nicholas Serbian Church, he served in the Army as a corporal during World War II in the European Theater for 23 months. He was a retired foreman in the weld shop for U.S. Steel Homestead Works, a 50-year member of the Plum Creek Monroeville Masonic Lodge, was an avid gardener with a large vegetable garden and he also raised rabbits for many years. He was a son of the late Nick and Anna (Blozowich) Jankovich; husband of the late Bryda (Painter) Jankovich; beloved father of JoAnne (Mike) Morris, of Monroeville, Lisa (Herb) Cohen, of North Huntingdon, and Nick Jankovich, of Pittsburgh; dear grandfather of Joseph (Alana) Morris, Andrew (Jennifer) Morris, Jennifer Morris, Joshua Cohen, Benjamin Cohen and Rachael Cohen; brother of Dinah (the late Tom) Parker, Anna (Al) Pieczynski, Yvonne Jankovich, Daniel (Anna Marie) Jankovich, the late Mildred Tarbuck, Nick Jankovich, Violet (Milos) Padezan, George "Dill" Jankovich, Ralph "Bunny" Jankovich and Betty Jankovich; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, PA 15148, 412-824-4332. Pomen at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Additional visitation from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10:15 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, followed by service in St. Nicholas Serbian Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
