Milka (Mickey) (Lackovic) Mijic

Milka "Mickey" (Lackovic) Mijic, 74, of Poland, Ohio, died peacefully Thursday, April 16, 2015. She was born Aug. 15, 1940, in Vigin Most, former Yugoslavia. She was the wife of the late Ilia Mijic; beloved mom of Elaine (Danny) Vucelich and Michael (Jovanka) Mijic; special Nana of Daniella and Kristofer Vucelich and Maxim and Emilija Mijic; sister of Milos (Nada) Lackovic, Nikola (late Smljana) Lackovic, Danica (late Milan) Vignjevic, Milica (late Baco) Mrkobrada and late Yandre (Evelyn) Lackovic; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and all who loved Mickey. She was a wonderful baker and cook who enjoyed crocheting, knitting and especially loved her family. Friends will be received from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME, 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, PA 15148, 412-824-4332, with a Pomen service at 7:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Monday in St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church, 2200 Irwin St., Aliquippa, PA 15001, until the time of service at 11 a.m., with the Very Rev.
