Ljubica "Violet" (Gojkovich) Jokola, 92, of Trafford, died Monday, April 20, 2015. She was a devoted member of St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, the St. Petka Circle of Serbian Sisters, Serb National Federation Lodge 7, and a former member of the Trafford Senior Citizens. She was a daughter of the late Gliso and Mila Gojkovich; wife of the late Nick Jokola; beloved mother of Nick (Mary) Jokola and Mila (Pero) Prpa; loving Baba of Shawn Wallace-Baiza (Mike Baiza), Eric Wallace and Nicole Jokola; dear Great-Baba of Emma, Gordon, Magdalejna, Abby, Maddy and Ella; and sister of Peter (the late Irene) Gojkovich, Dolores (Al) Lonzo, Diane (the late Ed) Yurack, the late Mitzi (Steve) Vudragovich, Mary (Paul) Estok, Jennie (John) Zigarovich, George (Netta) Gojkovich, Paul (Evelyn) Gojkovich and Betty (Jim) Alfieri. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, PA 15148, 412-824-4332, with Pomen at 7:30 p.m. Service at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. She will fondly be remembered as a beautiful cook and baker, especially well-known for her homemade noodles and Pogoca. She will be greatly missed. May her memory be eternal.
