John Salvi

Peacefully on Tuesday June 13, 2017 age 85 of North Versailles, with his two beautiful daughters by his side. Husband of the late Sophie (Saula) Salvi. Loving father of Denise (Art) Drakulic and Tina (Mark) Furlano. Adored Pap of Autumn (Brady) Yurko. Great Pap to Sofija and Lincoln. Brother of Angelo (late Jean), James, Mario (Gerry), Anthony (late Judy), Anna (late Rodger) Hall, Michael (Cathy) Lucy (late Donald) Hodge, Rudy (Paula) and the late Ernest (surviving Marcella) and late Sam (late Jean) Salvi. Brother in law of Martha Visnic, Mary Saula, and Sava Saula. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Salvi served his country proud in the US Navy . He was a former choir member of the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church for many years along with his late wife.  He was also a Master Carpenter and a member of the Local 432 Carpenter Union. Family and friends will be received in the Alfieri Funeral Home Inc. 201 Marguerite Ave. Wilmerding 412-824-4332 on Friday from 1:00 until 8:00 Pm with a Pomen Service at 7:30 Pm. Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 Am in St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, Monroeville with the Very Rev. George Veselinovic officiating. Everyone please meet directly at the Church on Saturday. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery, North Versailles.
