Genevieve "Jenny" (Procacina) Johnson, of North Versailles, died peacefully Monday, Nov. 16, 2015. She was born June 21, 1922, in Duquesne. At the age of 19, she went to New York to model. She loved the Lord and her Catholic faith. Her grandkids were the joy and love of her life. She was an avid reader and a wonderful cook. Everyone loved her feistiness as well. She will be missed by many. Surviving are her three daughters, Cheryl Oxford, Colo (Kenneth) Vicchio and Deborah Stachowski; grandchildren, Tracy (Brent) Blevins, James (Kathy) Oxford Jr., Rachelle (Greg) Lockridge, Cheri Vicchio, Rob Oxford, Brian Vicchio and Jenny (late Brian) Stine; 15 great-grandchildren; special niece, Mrs. Jeanie Falce; nephew, Ken Sharo; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Jenny was predeceased by her husband, Edgar; and a son, Richard Johnson.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME, 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, 412-824-4332. Parting prayers will be 9:15 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Christ the Light of the World Parish, Duquesne, with the Rev Father Thomas Lewandowski officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery, North Versailles.
