Francis C. Henigan

Francis Charles Henigan, retired maintenance from Wabtec and retired Navy BT, E5 died unexpectedly on August 17, 2017 at the age of 74 while working in North Huntingdon, PA.

Francis is survived by his wife, Elaine Henigan (Mesaros); his children, Sean Henigan, Erin Kinder (Henigan) and Derek Kinder; his grandchildren, Bradley Henigan, Brynne Henigan, and Brooklyn Henigan; and his sisters, Patricia Beltram (Henigan), Carl Beltram, Kathleen Schleifer (Henigan), Gary Schleifer  and nieces and nephews.

 He is predeceased by his parents Mary Fallon (Henigan), and Charles Henigan.

Franny was born in Wilkinsburg Hospital on September 24, 1942  and lived in Wilmerding, North Versailles, and New Alexandria, PA.

He lived a full life and impacted many people and loved helping other people. On April 20, 1968, he married his best friend Elaine. On May 12, 1984 and March 26, 1988 respectively, he welcomed his two beautiful children, and his family was the most important part of his life.

Francis was a devoted father and husband and avid believer in always helping people to the best of his ability. He enjoyed building things, working with his friends, and was always incredibly active. He was a problem-solver who often took on difficult projects at work and around the house.  He was a spiritual man, involved with his church and helping many parishes with their electrical and fixing needs.

He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

“Fran the Man” friended everybody he came in contact with and did everything he could to help another person. Fran was an organ donor and will still be helping others as we remember him. A celebration of Francis's life will be held on Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 Pm. in Alfieri Funeral Home Inc.
