COLETTA EMIL F. 
Peacefully on Tuesday September 13, 2016, age 88, of North Versailles. Regarded as the greatest generation, Mr. Coletta served his country in the US Navy during WWII in the South Pacific as a Seaman 1st class aboard the USS Lewis Hancock DD675 and the USS Andromeda AKA 15. He was formerly employed by Edgar Thompson as a pipefitter and mechanical repairman. He was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church, life member of the NRA, American Legion, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Among his hobbies were freshwater and saltwater fishing, big game hunting and especially traveling the world with his late wife, Marion. Mr. Coletta was very satisfied with all he accomplished in his lifetime. Surviving are his children, Frank (Debbee) Coletta of Plum, Dr. Lynn Simko of North Versailles, Dr. Susan Coletta of North Versailles and Amy (Walter) Lizza of Uniontown; grandfather of Dr. Bethany (Derek) Kamis, John Michael (Dr. Rachelle) Simko, Dr. Elyse (Dr. Zhebo) Chen, Amber Coletta, Dante Lizza and Cameron Lizza; great-grandfather of Owen Kamis, Gabriel Kamis, and Brynn Simko. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marion R. (Smith) Coletta; parents, Frank and Lillian Coletta; and sister, Mary Flint. Friends welcome in the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME, 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding 412-824-4332 on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Parting prayers in the funeral home on Saturday, at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Robert Bellarmine Church at 9:30 p.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
